We run regular science cafes, Film Festivals, debates, workshops and more across various venues in Bristol and Bath. We’re always looking for volunteers to run, facilitate, welcome people and generally make sure events go without a hitch, so if you’re interested in being part of the BSA Bristol & Bath Branch please do get in touch.

Film festival winners

Every year we run a festival of local amateur science films. Check here for details of this year’s programme and to view previous winners

Volunteer opportunities

We are one of around 30 local branches of the British Science Association that are run by volunteers with the backing and support of head office in London.

Want to get involved? Why not volunteer at one of our science cafes or festivals. Get experience in organising events and community engagement. Or write for our website, interviewing scientists and creating fun and engaging articles for our readers.

If you want to develop your skills while giving something back to the local community, we can support you!
